Designed by Joseph Lee in 1990, Vilamoura Laguna, with 6,133 metres and par 72 is completely different from Pinhal and Old courses.
It is based on a much modern design with wide fairways, large greens and lots of bunkers which make for a sturdy test of golf.
This course is enjoyable to play for the beginner or advanced player. The three nine holes give a lot of variation in difficulty and are always a pleasure to play. However, donīt be fooled by its wide open feeling as many golfers are caught out by the many water hazards.
Holes 7,8 and 9 on the Marina course are a spectacular finish to a fine course.
