Amateur Golf Challenge
The 17th Hotel Quinta do Lago Amateur Golf Challenge, held from the 27th of October to the 3rd of November of 2012, will again give you the opportunity to challenge fellow guests on the finest greens of the Algarve’s championship standard courses, for 7 days of joyous competition followed by entertaining social events in the evening.
Prizes will be awarded during the closing gala dinner, with the overall winner of the challenge being the player with the most net stableford points over the 3 rounds and, new for this year's competition, an award for the best overall gross score. The first player to beat the odds for a “hole in one” will also win a very special award, amongst other small challenges throughout the competition.
The maximum tournament handicap will be 28 for men and 36 for ladies. Players with a higher handicap may enter the challenge but will be given the maximum allowance for the competition.
