Quinta do Lago Golf Courses

Quinta do Lago is one of the Algarve’s leading golf destinations, with courses rated among Europe’s top 20. They have hosted eight editions of the Portuguese Open and continue to be the venue for national and international tournaments.

The resort was named Best European Golf Venue at the 2015 and 2016 World Golf Awards and won a “Editor’s Choice Award for Best International Resorts” by Golf Digest in 2016 and 2017.

Today three golf courses – North, South and Laranjal – are complemented by state-of-the-art facilities and services, including Europe’s first Paul McKinley Golf Academy and the only Southern Europe’s Taylor Made Performance Center.

Opened in 2009, it has been voted Best Portugal Golf Course. The former Laranjal do Ludo – about 2 km from Quinta do Lago – was transformed by Portuguese architect Jorge Santana da Silva into a unique golfing experience at the highest level.

Inaugurated in 1988 and awarded over the years by various entities as one of the best golf courses of Europe. Framed in a wavy pine forest, its special attraction is the magnificent sandy area of Quinta do Lago. The 18 holes border the Ria Formosa Natural Park.
